Hello, beautiful people! Today, we’re going to talk about a few thrift items that I purchased from Plato’s Closet. Usually, I go to the thrift store to find and buy thrift items. The ones I usually going to have 50% specific colored tags on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursday. There have been a few times I’ve gone there and didn’t have much luck finding anything. Most times, I am lucky to leave out with one thing. But for a while, I was coming out empty handed.
One day, I was leaving out of a restaurant and noticed there was a Plato’s Closet! Y’all, I totally forgot about Plato’s Closet! I was used to going to the thrift store, Salvation Army, and Goodwill that I forgot I can get gently used items for less at Plato’s Closet. When I stepped foot in there, I was in heaven. I’m not big on name brand stuff all the time but the one I went to had all of the goods in there!
I went in there to look for a cute outfit for my cruise and ended up coming out with that and more for less than $30.00. And to make things even better, I have been wanting some overalls from Zara for a while but never had the time to go and get it. Well, I ended finding this cute pair of overalls (they’re Old Navy) at Plato’s Closet! I was too excited oh my gosh!!
I always tell people don’t sleep on the discounted stores. If I see something that I like or want and I know it’s too expensive at the time, I always go to the thrift store. I know I will come out with what I need and more. But in this case, I definitely have added Plato’s Closet in the collection. I went there the other day and I saw so many cute tops from Zara, Forever 21, Missguided and more. In my head, I was like “well shoot, why spend all that money when I know someone is going to give it away and I can wear it for less?” I did a post not too long ago about how I scored a $300 winter jacket for $20! You can check it out here!
You may be looking for expensive clothes for less. Or you are simply looking for a cute outfit to wear without spending an arm and a leg. I highly recommend checking out your thrift store, Salvation Army or Goodwill. Also, make sure you check Plato’s Closet for real. I’ve been back three times already. I will admit I am a low-key addict now! So give it a try, save your coins and look fly on a budget!
